A voice-first AI platform that turns a childcare provider's spoken observations into structured developmental records, portfolios, and parent reports.

The problem

German childcare providers are legally required to document each child's development — observations, portfolios, reports for parents. In practice that means educators spend their evenings typing up notes they scribbled between diaper changes. The documentation matters; the paperwork steals time from the children.

The build

Kiddo flips the workflow: the educator simply speaks. The platform does the rest.

• Voice-first capture — record an observation in natural speech; AI transcribes it on the spot.
• Automatic categorization — observations are sorted into development domains (motor, cognitive, social-emotional, language) using established German educational frameworks, including the Leuven Model.
• Instant output — shareable portfolios and parent reports generated from the accumulated observations.
• Daily routine logging — meals, naps, and diaper changes tracked in seconds.
• Bilingual by design — full German and English interface with a one-tap toggle.
• Built for trust — GDPR-compliant, with data stored in the EU (Frankfurt).

The product also got a complete brand identity: a warm, playful design system ("delightful, not childish") with a custom logo that reads as both a voice waveform and a smile.

The result

Kiddo is live in beta at kiddo.now, free for early testers, with German childcare providers documenting hands-free. It's also proof of the thesis this whole studio runs on: with today's AI tools, a small team can design, build, and ship a real software product — not in years, but in weeks.
